Ben is Head of Digital at online retail marketplace notonthehighstreet.com. The site connects consumer to more than 5,000 of the UK’s best small creative businesses who supply unique and thoughtful products for all gifting and other notable occasions.
Ben is responsible for developing and implementing an audience centric approach to notonthehighstreet.com’s performance and brand focused digital marketing with his remit covering traditional performance channels such as PPC, Performance Social and Programmatic Display while also connecting the CRM channels and placing the audience at the heart of their digital acquisition and retention communications.
Having started his digital career by spending three years in the search team at Yahoo, Ben has gained extensive experience in performance marketing haveing spent time at Aegis’ performance agency iProspect both in PPC and in client management, and recently Ben has held senior positions in Search and Biddable media at Omnicom group agency PHD Media working across leading clients in the retail, finance, entertainment and travel verticals.
Ben is a contributor to the industry having presented on Search optimisaton at the Search Engine Strategies (SES) conference in London, contributed to the IAB Big Search Handbook writing a chapter on Brand vs DR for PPC, and wrote and article for the Journal of Digital and Social Media Marketing on Revamping and rebooting your paid search campaign: Optimising paid search activity for success.
